Light-Seeking Robot
Photoresistors steer a little bot toward the brightest light, like a moth to a lamp.
Start building ↓The build
Mount sensors
Place two light sensors angled left and right.
Wire to motors
Link each sensor to drive the opposite wheel faster in light.
Balance them
Adjust so equal light means straight ahead.
Chase light
Shine a torch and watch it follow.
Whichever sensor sees more light speeds its motor, turning the robot toward the brighter side until both sensors match.
A closer look
This 'Braitenberg vehicle' shows complex-looking behaviour from a direct sensor-to-motor link, no code required.
Variables to test
- 1 Cross the wiring — does it flee light instead?
- 2 Add a third sensor — better aim?

Line-Following Robot
Infrared sensors keep a small robot glued to a black track as it races a loop.
Bristlebot
A toothbrush head, a coin motor and a battery make a buzzing bug that scurries across the table.
